Horizontes

It’s funny, I thought I’d over shared my guilty pleasure for dance movies and dance documentaries a dozen times or more but I found only one tucked into a much longer post about other things. That one was about Mao’s Last Dancer. Let’s be clear. I’ve seen all of the Step Up (and similar) movies, more than once. I watch World of Dance every single week without fail. Today’s post is about a Cuban documentary about 3 generations of ballet dancers and their choices, their lives. The documentary was slow, but interesting. I can’t get the theme song out of my head.

And all along I knew

There’s an easy life

I could have chosen

But did not

But far and away my favorite remains, the Dancer, with Sergei Polunin. I watched it two or three times on an oversea’s flight. I could not take my eyes away from the screen. And I watch the final Hozier video whenever I need fitness inspiration.
